About Me

I am lecturing at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest, and I also work as a module leader and mentor at Milestone Institute, Budapest.

I teach comics, visual culture, theory, and literature. I also work as a freelance cultural journalist in English (tcj.com, Solrad) and Hungarian (168 óra, Alföld, Műút, 1749.hu, Filmvilág).

I am the director of the International Comics Festival at Budapest, and I occasionally curate exhibitions. I also translate comics (Paper Girls, Dilbert), and I am the book reviews editor of the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics. I co-host a podcast on comics (in Hungarian).

I love doing stuff and I love being enthusiastic about what I do. I also love dinosaurs.

I live in Budapest, Hungary.

My monograph, Comics and the Body: Drawing, Reading, and Vulnerability was published in December 2020 by Ohio State University Press.

I have edited two further books, Turning the Page: Gendered Identities in Contemporary Visual and Literary Cultures and a catalog about Hungarian comics, both in 2018.

In 2020 I edited a catalog showcasing recent Hungarian comics, commissioned by the Petőfi Literary Fund.
